Ladywell

The annual novena at the shrine in Ladywell commenced last Friday evening with a good congregation and the speaker was Ned Quinn. On Saturday evening a large attendance from a wide area attended the mass celebrated by Fr Tom Murphy PP, who also preached the homily.

The novena continues this week with rosary and benediction at 8pm each evening and the speakers will be Wednesday September 5 Sr Anne Codd, Thursday September 6 Fr Willie Purcell, Friday September 7 Eddie Stone. The novena will conclude on Saturday, September 8 with mass at 8pm celebrated by Fr Murphy and the speaker will be Derek Dooley.

The Ballyroan Brass Band will also be in attendance along with the choir organist Laura Kelly and all are invited to sing with the choir.

Christening

Congratulations to Craig and Ciara Ince of Attanagh on the recent christening of their son Edward which was held in Ballyouskill Church last Saturday.

Craig and Ciara recently completed their new house and are wished all the best for the future.
