A public meeting will be held in the Deadmans Inn on Friday February 1 at 8.30 pm to discuss the organising of a local Road Race. All members of the public are welcome as are all Club members and parents of children involved in the club. Everyone’s ideas are welcome so we are looking forward to seeing a good turnout for what is a good healthy cause.

LATE MARY MCCORMACK

Condolences to the family of the late Mary McCormack of Clonurk, Ballyfin who passed away on January 18 in the loving care of the staff at St Vincent’s Hospital, Mountmellick, Mary, beloved wife of the late Michael, is deeply regretted by her loving family Donal, Ann, Peg, Marie, Lily, Bridie, Michael, Sheila, Catherine and Patricia, sisters, wide extended family and many friends. Reposing in Donal and Teresa’s home in Clonurk with removal to St. Fintan’s Church, Ballyfin for Requiem Mass last Monday (January 21) with burial afterwards in St Fintan’s Cemetery.

Late Rose Smyth

Condolences to the family of the late Rose Smyth (nee Walsh) of Monkstown, Co. Dublin and late of Ballyfin, who passed away on January 21. Dearly beloved wife of John Smyth, Monkstown Avenue; she is also sadly missed by her brother, sisters, extended family, relatives and friends. Reposed at Sheahan’s Funeral Home, Georges Street Dun Laoghaire with removal to St. Patrick’s Church, Monkstown last Saturday for Requiem Mass in Shanganagh Cemetery, Shankill.
