Sports Awards winners Rebecca Williams and James O Rourke

STUDENTS at Mountmellick Community School were presented with awards at the end of the school year. recently for sporting and academic achievement as well as for attendance.

The much sought after ‘Student of the Year’ awards were also presented.

1st Year Academic Award Winners were Sandy Young, Eve Dalton and Jeffrey James. Student of the Year 1st year winners included Keeley Culliton Conroy, Aoife Delaney, Nathan Dunne and Fiona Joyce. Sports Award winners were Rachel Walsh and Barry Conroy. The second year award winners included Sports Awards winners Mary Keeting and Cathal Grennan.

Academic Award winners were Tabitha Oni, Ga Jun Young and Mikayla O’Connor. Student of The Year winners were Lauren Dooley, Keith O’ Neill, Agatha Michalec and Hazel Murphy. The 3rd year Sports Awards were won by Lorna O’ Sullivan and Brendan Murphy. Academic Awards went to Jenet James, Jennifer Dooley and Eoghan Quigley.

Student of the Year winners included Carol Deegan, Amanda Dempsey, Patricia Ward and Gena McKay. 5th Year Sports Awards went to

Rebecca Williams and James O’ Rourke. Best Junior Cert Results 2011 went to Semipe Oni and Marki Geoghegan. Academic Awards went to Semipe Oni, Emer Ging and Niamh Delaney.

Student of the Year went to Sarah Delaney, Niamh Gorman, Catherine McAlorum and Niamh Delaney. 6th Year Student of the Year Award Winners included Aoife McEvoy, Kaelin Rivillas, Rachel Murphy and Erin Singleton. Academic Winners were Rachel Forde, Joyce Dunne and Danielle Lee. Sports Awards winners were Aoife McEvoy and Dean Mahon.

The best Leaving Cert results 2011 went to Aine Furlong.
