Bus stops and motoring

“People are still standing in the wet,” noted Cllr Stephen Lynch at Mountmellick Town Council monthly meeting on the need for a bus-stop.

Cathaoirleach Rosemary Whelan: “It’s ridiculous not to have even one bus-stop in Mountmellick.”

Meanwhile Cllr Marc Connollly was worried about the cos motoring and the road system seemed to be going back to the 1980s. He said the relevant Minister should be told of the hardship people were under, he added.

Cathaoirleach Rosemary Whelan: “It would be a shame to go backwards.”
