CALLING ALL SCHOOLS!

Pupils, parents and teachers, would you like to get more publicity for the numerous activities in school each year?

If so the Leinster Express invites all of you to join with us to promote what is being achieved across schools in Laois.

From big awards to sports days, trips abroad to art competition we will give schools space on our school pages each week to tell the county what the schools are doing.

We will try to send a photographer to big events such as the raising of a green flag but we cannot guarantee that for all activites.

However we would be delighted to carry pictures taken with digital cameras of school events and achievements.

As part of enhanching over coverage we look forwared to getting out and about from now until next summer to report on what is going on in schoons around the county.

As with previous years we are also are happy to carry school reports on events and activities. We would also encourage principals and teachers to involve the pupils in writing a report on a school activity or a project.

Finally parents association play a vital role in schools and we hope that you contact us with your news of school success and other activities.

Feel free to contact us at any point. Just ask for Mary Kavnagh is our schools reporter and can be contacted at 057 8612666 or mary.kavanagh@leinsterexpress.ie

You can also cantact any of our news team. Look forward to hearing from you.
