ST STEPHEN’S DAY WALK

Our 20th annual St Stephen’s Day Walk, Clonaslee in aid of Laois Hospice was a fantastic success. Huge crowds turned out to support this very worthy cause and experience the Slieve Bloom Mountains even though the weather was not cooperative. Sincere thanks to all volunteers who worked tirelessly over the Christmas period to prepare and erect signs, make soup, sandwiches, bake Christmas cakes, organise the Community Centre, park cars, etc.

Huge thanks goes to all the young people of Clonaslee parish who have become involved in helping on the day, all help was greatly appreciated – ladies, gents and teenagers – well done. Thanks to all our sponsors and sincere thanks to Sean and Denise Flynn for cooking large amounts of bread rolls bright and early on Stephen’s morning.

THANKS

A big thank you to all who turned out on October 28 2012 in Kinnitty to help raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. A huge thanks to all our sponsors. Thanks to the committee, all who helped organise it and those who kindly volunteered on the day. Without you all it wouldn’t have been possible. A total of €7,000 was raised. Thank you, Linda McRedmond.
