COMMUNITY CHOIR

Anyone who is interested in being part of the Community Choir, which will be performing at St Manman’s Church Bicentary concert on May 24, please come to a meeting on Sunday February 24 at 6:30 pm in the church. We are looking for people from all community groups, organisations and individuals to get involved in this fantastic opportunity.

CELEBRATION OF LIGHT

Students who are receiving confirmation and their families are invited to the celebration of light during 8 pm mass on Saturday February 23.

The AGM of the Clonaslee Tidy Towns is on February 18 at 8:30 pm in the Community

Centre. All members please attend.

CASTLECUFFE NS ENROLMENT

BICENTENARY CONCERT

A concert to celebrate Bicentenary of St Manman’s Church Clonaslee is planned for Friday

May 24. We have eight different performers, both local and further afield, singing a variety of

music on the night. Mark this date in your diaries for a special night of entertainment. More information will be published closer to the date.

CLODIAGH PLAYERS

At the recent AGM the following officers were elected. Chairperson David Brickley, Secretary/PRO Annette Doolan, Treasurer Lorraine O’Keeffe, committee member John Callaghan. Also discussed were future workshops, new lighting system, children above 8 years being involved in suitable plays, Mountmellick drama festival, registration and insurance with Drama League of Ireland and new productions. There will be a workshop on Wednesday February 20 from 7 – 10pm in the Parochial hall to prepare for auditions for next production.

comedy DRAMA

Mountmellick Drama Group present the hilarious farce “Move Over Mrs Markham” on Thursday February 28, Friday March 1, Saturday March 2 at 8 pm in the Community Arts Centre, Mountmellick. Cost €10.

DANCE CLASSES

Learn how to dance with Maureen Culliton on Tuesday nights from 8pm – 9:30 pm in the Community Centre. No need for a partner. Everyone is very welcome to join.

MOUNTMELLICK DRAMA FESTIVAL

The festival starts on Friday March 8 and runs to Friday March 15. Plays include Sharon’s Grave, The Hen Night Epiphany, Dancing at Lughnasa, Eden, Sive, All My Sons, The Goat or Who Is Sylvia, The Loves of Cass

Maguire. Show start at 8 pm sharp in the Community Arts Centre, Mountmellick with nightly tickets €10.

Membership registration day for St Manman’s GAA is on Sunday February 24 at 11:30 am in the Community Centre. All players and members must be registered.

New programme on Wednesdays at 8 pm in the Heritage Centre. All new members welcome. Pay each night.
