emo TIDY TOWNS

Congratulations to residents of Emo and surrounds on excellent results in 2012 national Tidy Towns competition. An increase of 6 marks was achieved despite all the building and renovation work in progress at time of judging on June 16. Well done to everyone concerned. We are trailing Ballacolla by 11 marks bronze medal winners in our catogary .Congratulations to Ballacolla, where persistence has paid off.

Killenard Tidy Towns

Thanks to the fantastic support of the Killenard community we earned 253 points in this year’s Tidy Towns competition, an incredible 16 point increase on last year. As a result we won the Endeavour Award of €500 for the biggest improvement of any entrant in Laois. Huge thanks to everyone who helped withthe various projects, action days and on-going maintenance over the past year. Great work was done and we had great fun doing it.
