SYMPATHY

Sympathy is extended to the Gaffney family on the death of Patrick (Paddy) Gaffney, Cloonshannagh, Rooskey, Co. Roscommon on January 29 following an accident in Longford. He was formerly from Clonmeen, Errill. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Patsy, son Johnny, daughter Denise, extended family, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends. Remains reposed at his residence, Cloonshannagh on Thursday, January 30 and following funeral prayers he was removed to the Sacred Heart Church, Whitehall. Following funeral mass on Friday his remains were interred in Kilbarry Cemetery. May he rest in peace.

ERRILL GAA LOTTO

There was no winner of the jackpot on the last draw which took place on February 4 and there were six match three winners. The numbers drawn were 4–16 -24 and 27. The jackpot on February 18 will be €17,400. Tickets can be purchased in Walsh’s shop, in Ray’s Bar, in Dowling’s Bar and from local promoters.

PARENT’S COUNCIL ST COLMCILLE’S NS

The Parent’s Council are collecting aluminium drink cans and these can be left at the village recycling centre in the blue bin marked St Colmcille’s NS. Food tins are not accepted. Your support for this venture is appreciated.

Errill Drama Group present John Murphy’s ‘The Country Boy’ on Thursday, February 28, Friday, March 1 and on Sunday, March 3 in St Bernadette’s Hall, Errill starting at 8.30pm. Tickets available on the door. All are welcome to attend and support the drama group.
