LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB
Mountrath will be a hive of activity next weekend (June 22 - 24) when Feile Peil na nOg comes to Laois and Offaly. The Mountrath girls are hosting a team from San Fransisco, USA and the Mountrath boys are hosting a team from Yorkshire, England. The festival starts with a parade in Portlaoise on Friday evening, when there will be approx 3500 children and their mentors parading through the streets, dressed in their club gear and carrying their flags and banners. We wish all these young players the best of luck in their games and hope that they have great fun and make some great friends too. It is a fantastic achievement for both clubs to play in the competition and to host teams from abroad. We hope that the children will have your support and encouragement at all of the matches.

Our town’s traders are doing great work in keeping their premises tidy in all seasons and it is much appreciated.
