GROTTO RESTORATION COMMITTEE
The committee would like to thank everyone for there support and attendance at the mass which was held in the grotto last Sunday. There was a great attendance there. We would also like to thank all who contributed to the restoration. Thanks also to Fr J. Brophy who celebrated the mass and all those who helped out on the night.
LAOIS HEART SUPPORT GROUP
The monthly meeting of the Laois Heart Support Group will be held on tonight Wednesday September 19 in St Fintan’s Hall at 8pm. All are welcome.
GAA LOTTO RESULTS
The winning numbers in last week’s jackpot were 01,16,19,25. There was no jackpot winner. The jackpot now stands at €12,600.

LIBRARY NEWS
Adult book club meeting will take place on Thursday October 8 6.30 - 7.30pm. We will be discussing ‘Tom Crean - An Unsung Hero’ by Michael Smith, copies are available at the library and new members are always welcome.
The knitting club continues to meet every Friday morning 10.30 - 12.30pm, all welcome.
Application forms for the national MS Readathon, which gets underway in October, are now available.

The sale of homemade jam continues in Costcutters and in Phelan’s shop in Castletown. The proceeds of this goes to the Laois Hospice Portlaoise. Your support is greatly needed. Thanks to all who have supported.

Beavers (6 - 9 yrs) are resuming on Thursday September 27, 7 - 8pm. Cubs (9 - 12 yrs) are resuming on Tuesday September 25 at 7 - 8pm. Scouts (12 - 16 yrs) are resuming on Saturday September 29 10.30 - 11.30am. All sections are meeting on a weekly basis instead of fortnightly. We will now be holding our meetings in The Community Hall, Kiln Lane. Contact Mai Dunne or any scout leader.
