Raheen ICA guild held their monthly meeting recently. There was a good attendance with votes of sympathy being passed with any person who suffered a bereavement since the last meeting. It was reported that the whist drives are going well and that the Christmas whist was a great success. The raffle was won by Mary Delaney and the next meeting will be held on Tuesday 12 February.

SET DANCING

Set dancing for fun will take place in Trumera hall from 7 to 8 pm for children, parents and adults on . Tutor will be John Sinnott, Cromogue, who can be contacted on 086 3440388.

THE GATHERING

The Mountrath & District Business Association will hold a meeting in the Metac Center on Wednesday 23 January at 7pm. All local Community groups are invited to attend. Anne Goodwin from Laois Partnership and Dominic Reddin Laois Tourism Officer will be speaking to all those interested in hosting a Gathering Event.

ST FINTAN’S GAELS CALENDARS 2013

St Fintan’s Gaels have produced two calendars for sale for 2013. The first is a general calander featuring many teams and memories from 2012. The second is all about Féile 2012 and is a must have for anyone connected with the Féile. Calendars cost €10 each or you can purchase both for €15. Contact John Sinnott or Seamus Lahart to purchase calendar or for more information. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
