Roscrea students ‘can it’ with Tidy Towns award win

Mr.Smyth, Mrs. M.Conroy (Tidy Towns), Mrs.E.Doherty (Tidy Towns), Col�iste Phobal Student representatives with the "Can It" award, Ms. Mullen, and Mr.O'Brien (Principal).

COLAISTE Phobal’s Mr Smyth and some of last years transition years went to Ennis recently to recieve the ‘Can It’ award in the National Tidy Towns Competition.

The award was presented by Jan O’Sullivan TD. The winning piece is mounted on the wall at the back of the Tesco shopping centre and is a proud display of ingenious recycling.

The schools congratulated all involved.

The 2012-2013 student council was elected in Coláiste Phobal earlier in the year.

This student council represents the school student body and is a liason between students and teaching staff and management.

The Student Council comprises of representatives of each year. They are namely Joseph Abbott and Ciara McNicholas (1st Year), Dion Landy and Niamh Larkin (2nd Year), Tom Ahern and Róisin Scully (3rd Year), Hugh Bulfin and Sarah Heaney (Transition Year), Brian McNicholas, Ciaran Guilfoyle and Katie Landy (5th Year), Michael Campion and Megan King (6th Year).

Congratulations were extended to all.
