Coffee Morning

A coffee Morning for the Irish Cancer Society’s Daffodil Day will be held at John and Claire Hartnett’s, Capard, on Saturday March 9 from 10 am to 2 pm. All support very welcome.

St Patrick’s Day parade

Entries are invited for floats for the Rosenallis St Patrick’s Day parade which starts at 3.30pm from John’s Grove for vehicles and The Green School for walking groups. The theme this year is “The Gathering”, The committee are looking for four volunteers to dress up as clowns and entertain the crowds on the day. If interested please call Sheila at 087 6197133.

Laois Cycling and Touring Club

The club are inviting everyone to join them for their weekly beginners cycle. Starts at 9am on Sundays from the Maldron hotel on the Abbeyleix road. Easy pace, distance 20-30km All levels catered for. For more information contact Mick 0851522945 or mickmcd1388@gmail.com

Seachtain Na Gaeilge

Portlaoise Branch Library present an evening of Irish Music, Poetry, Dance on Wednesday March 13 at 4.45pm. All are welcome to attend, light refreshment served.

Mountmellick Drama Festival

The festival runs from Friday March 8 to Friday 15 at Mountmellick Community Arts Centre at 8pm sharp nightly. Season Tickets €50 (Concessions €25). Nightly Tickets €10 (Concessions €5). Group bookings available. For further details see Stage Left.
