GOAL MILE

The GOAL Mile will be held in Oakvale Woods on Christmas morning 1,000-2,000 run, walk, jog or crawl a mile for charity. Collection at start. Billy O’Neill has more information.

FLOWER & GARDEN DINNER

The club’s annual Christmas dinner will be held in The Castle Arms Hotel, Durrow on Saturday, December 15. Bus leaving at 6.30pm. All places are limited so please give names as soon as possible to Vera Donohoe, Dorrie Moran or Francis Scully or any member of the committee.

VICARSTOWN GOOSE CLUB

The Vicarstown Goose Club will be held on December 16. Turkeys, hams, whiskey, wine, spirits and all the Christmas fare. Not to be missed.

TIDY TOWNS TREE FUNDRAISER

Stradbally Tidy Towns are holding their annual fundraising Christmas tree draw on Saturday, December 22 in Dunnes Lounge. Ticket price €1. irst prize €200, 2nd €100, 3rd €50, 4th €30, 5th €25, 6th €20. Free draw for spot prizes on the night and music also. Your continued support much appreciated.

ST VINCENT DE PAUL

They are looking for donations which can go on sale in the shop. If you have any unwanted items such as good quality ladies, gents and childrens clothing and footwear, furniture, bric-a-brac they can be dropped off Tuesday to Friday 10am to 4pm and Saturday 10am to 1pm. A big thank you to everyone who has donated unwanted items so far.

Christmas cards for sale in the shop 10 for €3. The food appeal takes place on December 14 and 15 - boxes in Supervalu, Phelans and John Delaney, Timahoe. All food will be distributed locally. Your support is greatly appreciated.

CHRISTMAS WHIST DRIVE

Next whist drive will be the Christmas fare, turkeys, hampers, Christmas cake, ham, whiskey, etc. It will be held on Friday, December

21 commencing at 8.30pm and all are welcome.

VICARSTOWN ACTIVE RETIREMENT OUTING

Active Retirement Christmas outing will take place on December 12 to Ashbrook House, Durrow for Christmas dinner and afterwards old time dancing. Bus leaving Vicarstown at 5.45pm. Phone 057 8626158 for more details.

CONFIRMATION 2013

Confirmation will be held in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Stradbally on Saturday, March 9, 2013 and in St Michael’s Church, Timahoe on Saturday, March 2.

First Holy Commnion will be held in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Stradbally on Saturday, May 18, 2013 and in St Michael’s Church, Timahoe on Saturday, May 25, 2013.

ANNUAL YOUTH RETREAT

Youth Retreat in Newbridge College, Co Kildare from Friday, December

Christmas Fair

Stradbally Country Market Christmas fair takes place on Saturday, December 15 from 10.30am - 4pm at St Patrick’s Hall. Come along and enjoy the mulled wind and mince pies in the festive atmosphere. A Christmasa Draw will also take place in aid of St Vincent de Paul.
