Stradbally Parent & Toddler Group

WHIST DRIVE FOR CRUMLIN A special whist will also be held in St Patrick’s Hall, Stradbally on Friday, February 22 with the proceeds in aid of Crumlin Children’s. Your support please for this very worthy cause and starting time is 8.30pm. Usual whist drive will be held on Friday, February 15 commencing at

8.30pm sharp also in St Patrick’s Hall.

If you wish to enrol you child in junior infants for September 2013, please contact the school for the enrolment form or download from www.colmanslaois.com. Closing date is February 14. St Colmans relaunch for ‘Walk on Wednesdays’ February 20. All welcome, refreshments handed out.

The Laois GAA Senior Scor is fixed for Friday, February 22 in Timahoe Hall.

COMMUNITY GAMES ATE

Phase 3 closing date March 12, talent and choir, cycling, swimming, projects handwriting, debating and gymnastics/judo. Please note that all above events are both team and individual activities.

OIL PAINTING FOR ADULTS

Oil painting for adults with artist Gemma Guihan at the Arthouse, Stradbally starting on Wednesday, February 13 and running for six weeks. Morning course 11am-1pm. Evening course 7pm-9pm. Limited places

STRADBALLY GAA

Tickets are now on sale for the 2013 Laois GAA Club Members Draw and your support for Stradbally GAA Club would be greatly appreciated. There are four draws beginning March 1 and the first prize is €10,000 in each draw. Tickets are €130 each and can be purchased from any

committee member. Also the club membership for the year is €20, please contact Alan Hartnett 085 1679521 to arrange payment.

LAOIS FLEADH 2013

The Laois Fleadh 2013 will be held in Ratheniska and Stradbally on June 2. The committee would very much welcome any suggestions, ideas or volunteers to help to make this a great event. For more information contact Michael 087 9933162.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

First Holy Communion will be held in the Church of the Sacred Heart,

Stradbally on Saturday, May 18, 2013 and in St Michael’s Church,

Timahoe on Saturday, May 25, 2013.

CONFIRMATION 2013

Confirmation will be held in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Stradbally on Saturday, March 9, 2013 and in St Michael’s Church, Timahoe on Saturday, March 2. Service of Light in Stradbally on Tuesday, February 12 at 7.00pm. Parents and sponsors asked to attend on the night, if possible.

ENROLMENT MONTH

CYSTIC FIBROSIS

A church gate collection for Cystic Fibrosis was taken up at all masses on last weekend and the organisers would like to thank the collectors and contributors for their generosity. Your support was much appreciated.

VICARSTOWN COMMUNITY ALERT

Muinter na Tire, An Garda Siochana, Vicarstown Community Alert creating greater community awareness and alertness, building safer communities. Meeting in Vicarstown Hall on Tuesday, February 26 at 8pm. Your support is of the upmost importance.

VICARSTOWN RECREATIONAL GROUP-

The group will resume at the old community centre for the usual cup of

tea, cards and chat on Wednesdays at 10.45am starting on Wednesday, February 13 and all are welcome. Two hand dancing will commence on Monday, February 18 commencing at 8pm and all are welcome for a great night’s exercise.
