Timahoe Walk

The GAA president Liam O’Neill leads the annual IWA walk on New Year’s Day from 1pm. There are two routes: 6kms and 10 kms. Refreshments after in the community hall. Sponsorship cards from Johnny Dalton or contributions can be made on the day.

PLAYGROUND

Work has commenced on the playground. Good progress has been made and the landscaping seems to be all that is left to be done. The committee are anxious to get this project over the line and are seeking your support. We are holding church gate collections this weekend in Stradbally and Timahoe and have our confined Christmas draw tickets on sale.

TIDY TOWNS

The committee would like to thank everyone during the year who helped make our village a beautiful place to visit and live. We particularly would like to express our thanks to Liam Cooney on the excellent job he does maintaining the green and its environs.

FOROIGE

We held our annual Christmas party last Sunday morning in the hall, Santa Claus arrived and a great social festive gathering was had. We’re organising a Christmas disco for January 4.

The children of the local school are hosting The Magical Christmas Jigsaw tomorrow night in the church from 7 adm is €5.
