Partnership boost for Rathdowney

grantS awarded under the Rural Development Programme by Laois Partnership are set to make a big difference to children and families in Laois.
Rathdowney Playground Group applied for grants to most of the cost of a playground and a multi use games area that includes an artificial turf pitch. Following extensive consultation Laois Partnership committed €187,500 toward the project.
Laois Partnership Chairperson, Michael Bergin said his agency was pleased to back the project.
“We are delighted to be able to support a major initiative such as this. It is a significant piece of local infrastructure. This project highlights what can happen when local development companies such as Laois Partnership work in partnership with communities and other agencies who seek to enhance their locality,” he said.
