This hotel reminds me of the saying "Never judge a book by it's cover".
From what I hear this was an older hotel that was face lifted.
I got this information when I stayed mid-week for a meeting and nearly melted in the room with the ambient heat. Old hotel with no A/C was how I came to ask the question.
Bar nice, breakfast good, meeting rooms all good. Nice touches at the break of ice-creams for the delegates.
I like the look and feel of the place but no A/C in the rooms is a big let down and I see from other reviews the road noise to the front is not a desired extra.

Just stayed in the Killeshin, and was very impressed. Staff were friendly, and food and accommodation were excellent. Will definitely stay there again!

Overall the Killeshin is a pretty decent hotel with many good points but it has some basic flaws.
If you want a good night’s sleep, ask for a room at the back as the hotel faces the main Dublin Road and has a lot of traffic noise . The glazing is so poor that you can hear people having conversations in the carpark below.
The main bedrooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable but they are poorly lit - bad for working on laptops, reading or girls making themselves gorgeous!
Food in restaurant and at breakfast is good and the portions are generous - get down to breakfast early though if you want to get the best of the cooked breakfast.
I’ve stayed here a number of times and, now that I know to work my way round the bits I don’t like, would be happy to stay again.

lovely 3* hotel which is more like a 5* hotel with leisure facilities, evening entertainment and excellent service. recently refurbished and all rooms are spacious with really comfy beds etc. you get all the usual room facilities including bottled water
