Late points from Donal Miller and Brendan Quigley helped Laois to a two-point win over Tipperary in O'Moore Park on Saturday night.
Laois 1-13

Tipperary 1-11

Laois looked to be crusing at half time when they led 1-9 to 0-2 courtesy of a brilliant Michael Tierney goal and points from Donie Kingston, Paul Lawlor, Cathal Og Green and Niall Donoher.

But Tipp staged a remarkable recovery in the second half and drew level with ten minutes remaining. Sub Conor Sweeney was inspirational for Tipp as he hit 1-2 in a dramatic second half while a succession of Barry Grogan frees kept them in touch.

However it wasn't enough for the visitors as Laois rallied late on to hold on for a thrilling win.
