The dedicated Republic of Ireland Laois Supporters Club are making the journey from Portlaoise to the Aviva Stadium today.

Over 60 local members from all over Laois set off together on Tuesday afternoon to support the Boys in Green in their shot at World Cup destiny.

They landed in the supporters social club in Landsdowne Rugby Club ahead of the game.

A couple of supporters shared their thoughts on what they expect from the game.

"Hoping for a 1-0 but everyone is nervous because if the Danes get one goal we need two" - Paul Delaney.

"Very optimistic 2-0 Irish win. McLean and Long to score" - Anthony Kirwan from Ballacolla.

"1-1 lose out on away goals rule" - Martin Healy from Ballinakill.

The kick-off time for Ireland’s second World Cup clash with Denmark, held at the Aviva Stadium, is 7.45pm tonight.

After Saturday’s first leg ended in a 0-0 draw, this will be Ireland’s last chance to qualify for the World Cup – and this time they have a home advantage.

The Laois supports will be keeping us up to date on all the action in the stadium throughout the night, stay tuned for some action straight from the Aviva Stadium.
