Culture in Portarlington

THERE will be a national cultural event taking place in Saint Pauls Church in Portarlington this Friday night September 21, as part of the national cultural celebrations.

The show commences at 8pm, and doors open at 7.45pm. Performing on the night are The Corrig Ceili Band, balladeer Michael Ryan, Roscarrig traditional group, Kieran Dunne reading extracts from ‘My Jewel and Darling Dublin and ‘Sacrifice’, the Faherty family, Cellist Natalie Aremu, Culfadda, Soprano Aideen Morrin and poetry monologues Mary O’Donnell and with contributions also from several young people from the town.
