LAOIS band The Perfect Skins recently launched their new single ‘Innocence’ to much acclaim to a packed house in Kavanaghs. This is no ordinary single release though as all profits from the sale of the single will be going directly to the children’s charity ‘Barnardos’. The track is available to download now from iTunes.

The song was recorded at Golden Egg Studios, Portlaoise and also features a guest appearance by a local 20 piece choir ‘65 Kitchen Choir’.

The song itself deals with the sensitive and topical issue of child abuse. The Skins believe that the single Innocence which stands on its own merits as a piece of music, can also create greater awareness of the emotions experienced by the victims of child abuse and help to raise much needed funds for Barnardos.

The band, well know for addressing social issues in their music are at pains to point out that they are not experts or spokespersons in this area. The song was not written on the basis of any personal experience or in a bid to apportion blame. For more, visit www.theperfectskins.com.
