Get set to howl this Halloween

IT’S that time of year again, the evenings are drawing in, the days are getting colder and shorter and we can expect to see more rain and dust off the wooly jumpers. But one shining light heading into the winter months is the annual Halloween Howls.

The Halloween Howls has been established for many years now and has played host to some of the best Irish and international comedians. This year is no different with a host of funny men and women set to entertain the masses of Laois over the October bank holiday weekend.

Guests gracing the stage include Ardal O’ Hanlon and Joe Rooney, Colm O’ Regan and Fred Cooke, Dermot Whelan, Jennifer Maguire and Bernard O’ Shea, Meave Higgins and Kevin Gildea, David McSavage and John Colleary, and Andrew Maxwell, Mark Doheny and Karl Spain.

They will be performing in the intimate venue from Friday evening right through the weekend until Monday night. For more on the festival visit www.kavanaghsportlaoise.com and keep reading the Stage Left pages over the coming weeks.
