FOLLOWING the successful launch of his new show at the Edinburgh International Fringe festival in August this year, Jack L brings the 27 Club to Dunamaise Arts Centre for one night only on Saturday September 29.

The 27 Club is the name given to the remarkable group of artists who passed away at the age of 27. Jack L’s brand new show features the work of icons such as Janis Joplin, The Doors, Robert Johnson, The Rolling Stones, Amy Winehouse, The Bunnymen, Jimi Hendrix and Nirvana to name but a few.

Jack Lukeman interweaves their legacy not through a vale of tears but in a rip-roaring musical celebration of life. Combining Jack’s own legendary live performance band along with interactive audio-visuals exploring this mysterious number, The 27 Club is a dramatic and unforgettable one off show.

Jack Lukeman is in the middle of another whirlwind year, having just returned from the USA where he did a run of shows. The highlight was a knockout performance at the prestigious Lincoln Centre for the Performing Arts, the home of the New York Philharmonic, where he sang as lead vocalist with the legendry Nelson Riddle Orchestra, to an ecstatic reception.

Following his sell out success in 2011, Jack performed at Edinburgh Festival, for the 3rd year in a row - the first time a music artist has been invited to appear three times in succession at the world’s biggest arts festival. He also won the Spotlight Award for “Best Musical Performance” in Edinburgh two years ago and his reputation is growing throughout Britain. Tickets priced at €20 are now on sale from www.dunamaise.ie or from the box office at 057 86 63355. Caffe Latte will be open on the night.
