Knights of Leon return to Kavanaghs

Knights of Leon

Knights of Leon

THOSE looking for some entertainment this weekend need look no further than Kavanaghs when the Kings of Leon tribute band, the Knights of Leon return to the Portlaoise venue.

Ireland’s top tribute to the Kings of Leon return to Kavanaghs Bar and Venue on Friday January 18. The Knights of Leon have performed for the past three years all over the country and throughout Europe and are widely recognised as one of the finest tribute bands on the road at the moment.

Their last sell out performance in Kavanaghs bank in 2011 was quite memorable and their return to the venue is much anticipated. Tickets priced €10 are available from Kavanaghs, kavanaghsportlaoise.com and from members of Portlaoise AFC. All profits from the gig go to Portlaoise AFC. Kavanaghs have some other gig nights available for local Clubs, if your club might be interested in taking advantage of one of these nights please contact Kavanaghs for more infomation.

As well as this gig, ever popular musician James O’ Connor will be bringing his own brand of magic to the venue every Thursday evening, not to be missed by music lovers.

And of course Kavanaghs have a busy line up for the next couple of months, with David O’ Doherty on February 1, The Perfect Skins launching their album on February 2, Damien Dempsey performing on February 9 and 10, and a special fundraiser for Laois Hospice with performances from Duke Special, Bill Coleman, Garry Dunne, Adela Mealy and Strength in Numbers. March is just as busy for the venue with performances by The Killurz tribute band on March 8, comedians Tom Stade, Karl Spain and Willie White on March 10, and Reginald D Hunter on March 27.
