POLICE Academy fans will be delighted to hear that Michael Winslow will be visiting Portlaoise next month. Michael will be coming to Kavanaghs on Thursday February 7 for one night only.

Barking dogs, squishing soggy sneakers, Jets roaring, spine tingling scratches from a chalkboard, radio noises, guitars screaming, cell phones, and so much more! Noises, every noise people can imagine but is it real or the vocal cords of Michael Winslow?

After Police Academy creators saw his stand up in LA, they immediately wrote him into the film, which went on to make him a worldwide star. After these films, he starred in ‘Spaceballs’ and ‘Gremlins’, where he played the voice of Stripe. He also did voice-overs for Disney and Universal Studios in films including ‘Back to the Future’ and ‘Terminator’. Nowadays people can hear his warblings in Robot Chicken and Family Guy.
