Custodian

PORTARLINGTON band Custodian released their first single ‘Little’ from their EP on September 9 for free download on Soundcloud, Breaking Tunes, Reverb Nation, Band Camp and Music Clout.

Custodian are a four piece folk rock band from Portarlington that was formed in February 2012 by singer David Roycroft, guitarist Gavin Shortall, drummer Reece Wardrop and bassist Stephen Murphy. Their main focus is original music and began writing straight away after forming and performed their first show in Portarlington at a fundraiser for the ‘Dirty Old Towns’ TV show on March 10.

Since then the band has gone from strength to strength with shows at the 2012 Festival Francais de Portarlington, The King Kong Club at The Village in Dublin, a couple of dates in The Blind Pig venue in Limerick, John Daly’s in Mullingar and upcoming shows in Dublin, Galway and Limerick still to come.

Custodian recorded their debut self titled EP ‘Custodian’ in August 2012 in Echo and Wave Studios in Athy, which was mastered in Dublin by Fergal Davis Mastering who previously worked with acts such as Muse, Sinead O’Connor, The Blizzards, Josh Ritter and Republic of Loose to mention a few.

The band will release one track from the EP each week on all the mentioned websites for free download and CD’s will be available from the band by contacting them on www.facebook.com/custodianband or custodianmusic@gmail.com and they’ll be available at all live shows.
