Paint the town black in Sallys
The Valves
THE Sally Gardens pub in Portlaoise is inviting its patrons to paint the town black on Thursday September 27. The Arthurs day celebrations will be starting early in the Sallys this years with local and popular band The Valves starting off the entertainment from 4.30 in the afternoon.
Always crowd pleasers, the trio promise a night of songs that audiences will love, but not necessarily hear played live and loud too often. This will then be followed by karaoke at 8pm with a festive Arthur’s Day theme. As well as this, to keep the tummies from rumbling, there will be a BBQ in the pub from 5pm. Sallys have also come together with Downtown Portlaoise and is doing a raffle to raise funds for the Christmas lights. On the night there will be a competition for ten black envelopes and competition tickets can be bought from the bar and there will be prices for the best dressed pint of guiness to add a sparkle to the night.
