ROCK the Vote is being organised by a number of local musicians who want to make their voices heard this weekend. The concert entitled ‘Rock the Vote’ is bringing everyone together who wants to vote ‘no’ at the referendum, and ensures a great night’s entertainment for everyone. Already there is a big number of acts confirmed, with more pouring in by the day.

Rapunzels Wig are stuck in 1978 and loving it! Playing hits from The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Undertones interspersed with well crafted original tunes, the boys always get a crowd going.

Helen Campion has been described as Rathdowneys finest female troubadour and sings everything from Suzi Quattro to Bob Dylan via Dwight Yokam. There will also be a performance by The Crow Flies, a powerhouse trio featuring brothers Evan and Trevor Byrne and Adrian Robinson.

Templemores hard working band Bedlam will also be on stage. Love Spreads will be playing the songs of the Stone Roses in their first ever gig. Fortunate Sons, an experienced dynamic band singing the best of rock and rhythm’n’blues will also play.Accomplished guitarist Richard Whelan will also be playing. Unborn Voices will also be performing, the group consists of Neil McEvoy on lead guitar, Matthew Kerry on vocals, Pancha Owens on drums and Gary Maher on bass guitar. MTBA are another young act making waves, with Gary Maher on vocals, John Delaney on rhythm guitar, Sean Costello on lead guitar, Robert Brennan on drums Stephen Keogh on bass.
