Summer arts workshops keep young people busy

THE Arts Office Summer Arts programme is in full swing around the county with art workshops for young people happening in different venues in the county.

Artist Patricia Bennett devised a creative project in Emo National School from July 5 to July 9 with lots of colourful works of art created by the participants.

Week two of the programme was a busy week with art workshops happening in St Francis School in Portlaoise with Conor Brennan and art in the MDA in Mountmellick with artist Siobhan Keogh as well as a creative writing workshop for young people in Portlaoise with writer Jean O'Brien.
