THIS weekend Lethean will be hosting music from Viking Boat Race on Saturday October 20 and from We Own The Night on Sunday October 21.

Viking Boat Race were formed in May 2007 by brothers Tom O’Reilly on guitar and Ollie O’Reilly on vocals. Over the past five years Viking Boat Race have played all over Laois, Leinster and further afield having played a couple of times in Baker Place (sadly missed) and The Blind Pig in Limerick City.

Viking Boat Race made their Dublin debut in 2008 with a show in Alfie Mulligans on Leeson St. Viking Boat Race have been described as a hard hitting rock band with intricate, melodic and chord based guitar lines that encompassing mind blowing solos and slide work on occasion backed by punchy driving bass lines, thumping drums and vocals that they say Robert Plant and Ozzy would be proud of.

Band influences include Kerbdog, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Joy Division, Clutch, Wolfmother and more. Viking Boat Race will be rocking Lethean from 10pm.
