Stemming from the success and interest in the Mountrath Heritage Photo Exhibition and in METAC’s regular photography courses (tutored by Alf Harvey), there is now a new and growing camera club established for people from Mountrath and the surrounding areas who have an interest in photography.

To coincide with METAC’s enrolment night tonight, Tuesday September 17 from 6pm to 8pm, the club will also be having an open night in METAC where the public can come along and view photos by the club and talk with members.

There people will be able to join the camera club or any of the photography classes. The club holds their indoor meetings in METAC, Mountrath (www.metac.ie) and have also had many outings in 2013 for the members to take photographs and practice their skills. The club is for any adult with an interest in photography in Mountrath and the surrounding areas, there is no experience or technical knowledge required or expected from members and there is a great social aspect to the club. For more information see their Facebook page.
