The Dunamaise Arts Centre will present the award winning play Eden by Edenderry man Eugene O’Brien on Thursday October 3 at 8pm.

Eden’s powerful story brings to life a gallery of colourful midland characters. At the heart of this world is a moving, funny and tragic portrait of the failing marriage of Billy and Breda and the weekend that will make or break them.

At times dramatic, devastatingly funny and heartbreaking, this engaging play has received critical acclaim worldwide wherever it has played.

Breda’s not lookin’ at all bad, she has certainly lost the weight, there’s no denying that. But Imelda is such a beautiful ride of a thing. And Tony thinks he’s James Galway – the man with the ‘golden flute’ – now Billy wants to show them all, that he’s James Galway. This night it’ll all change. This night is the big night!

Eugene O’Brien is also well known for writing the hit RTE series Pure Mule. Visit www.dunamaise.ie for more info.
