Irish song and dance enthusiasts from as far away as Japan will attend Maureen Culleton’s summer festival of dance, next week.

Irish song and dance enthusiasts from as far away as Japan will attend Maureen Culleton’s summer festival of dance, next week.

A ceili will start the week of song and dance on Wednesday night from 8.30pm to 11.30pm.

Thursday starts with a guided Sliabh Bloom walk for all abilities from the Community Centre at 2pm. That night a Rambling House sessions will take place in Sheeran’s Thatched pub, Coolrain.

On Friday, August 2 the Johnny Reidy Ceili Band provide the music.

Saturday begins with a workshop from 11am to 4pm followed by a ceili with the Glenside Ceili Band from 9.30pm.

Sunday kicks off with a ceili at 4pm, followed by a Rambling House session at 7pm. The evening will conclude with the Annaly Ceili Band from 9pm.

The final event is a ceili from 2.30pm with the Abbey Ceili Band on Monday, August 5.
