Laois literary art to be celebrated

The literary arts of Laois will be celebrated at this year’s Leaves Literary Festival, set to run from November 7 to November 9.

The literary arts of Laois will be celebrated at this year’s Leaves Literary Festival, set to run from November 7 to November 9.

On Friday, November 7, there will be a literary and music evening at Laois Arthouse and Library, Stradbally. This will be a wonderful evening of readings and music, featuring Donal Ryan and poet Louis de Paor with music accompaniment by renowned uileann piper, Séan McKeon.

On Saturday, November 8, the recently published Sister Caravaggio will be brought to life by some of the contributors to the novel including Peter Cunningham, Cormac Millar, Peter Sheridan and Éilís Ní Dhuibhne, at Castle Durrow.

Also at Castle Durrow, on Sunday, November 9, there will be readings by poets and novelists.
