FOR those recovering from last night’s Heyday festival, there is something on tonight to tickle your funnybones when three funnymen take to the Kavanaghs Comedy Club stage.

This is the Kavanaghs Comedy Club Christmas special with some of their favourite comedians and Mark Doheny! John Lynn, now resides in the UK and Kavanaghs been lucky enough to secure him for their comedy club Christmas special. John is well known to comedy goers and having performed at practically every club in Ireland he now performs in large venues throughout the UK every week.

Within months of starting stand up John appeared on TV screens in RTE’s Liffey Laugh’s, a remarkable feat for a newcomer. In the past couple of years he’s appeared on the BBC’s One Night Stand and was a highlight alongside Tommy Tiernan and Jon Kenny on TV3’s The Third Policeman’s Ball, celebrating the work of Flann O’Brien. John has spent the last two years constantly performing. He completed his first full Edinburgh festival run in 2006. He is the first choice as an opening act for Naked Camera’s PJ Gallagher, and has since performed in almost every comedy venue around Ireland.

Colum McDonnell returns for a much anticipated performance on the stage in Kavanagh’s. Colums’ performs as part of this double headliner bill and always has the audience howling for more every time.

Mark Doheny, resident MC, completes the line up, with a waist diminishing at the same rate as the Nations Savings. let’s hope after a good Christmas dinner Mark will be visible on stage! Visit the Kavanaghs website for more.
