Two of Ireland’s top funnymen will be taking to the stage of Kavanagh’s Comedy Club in Portlaoise this Friday, in a gig being held for the Portlaoise Hockey Club.

Two of Ireland’s top funnymen will be taking to the stage of Kavanagh’s Comedy Club in Portlaoise this Friday, in a gig being held for the Portlaoise Hockey Club.

Colum McDonnell, of RTE’s Irish Pictorial Weekly and a regular on the Irish and UK circuit, has performed at all the top comedy venues and festival over the years and is an act not to be missed. They say that good things come in small parcels and with Colum coming in a 5 foot 3, they may be right!

Fred Cooke is best known from RTE’s Republic of Telly. Fred has been busy a boy recently headlining gigs all over the place culminating in a headline gig in Whelans of Dublin. Audience members don’t have to bring their melodicas tonight as Fred is bringing his - both of them.
