The Crooked Jacks are a 4 piece Ballad/Folk Group which started in 2012, They are a Portlaoise / Athlone based group of friends.

Only recently they completed a tour in America, and they continue to travel all of Ireland and bring an air of excitement and a bit of a kick to the Irish Songs that people know and love.

The band consists of David Fitzpatrick (lead singer and guitar ) Jo Jo Salmon (vocals, bass and mandolin) Jody Cahill (vocals, banjo, mandolin and whistles ) and Keith Byrne (vocals, bodhran and whistles).

The Clancys Show Fine Girl Ye Are is a project that they took on last year and will be presented with the help and direction of RTE’s Cathal McCabe. There are very exciting time ahead as they have a tour planned for the USA again this year and also a tour in The Netherlands.

The first of Seven shows is in The Dunamaise Theatre in Portlaoise, and a donation will be made to Crumlin’s Children’s Hospital new Cardiac Unit from ticket sales on the night. To find out more visit www.duanamaise.ie.
