A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens will be presented by Antelope Productions at Roundwood House on Friday December 20 and Saturday December 21.
This will be a dramatised reading with music and song performed by Michael James Ford, Helene Montague and Kenny Stapleton.
A Christmas Carol remains the greatest of all Christmas stories and its popularity has never waned since it first appeared in 1843. It is the book that created the Season of Goodwill that people enjoy today, with its traditions of family gatherings, festive food and drink, song, dance, games, gifts and generosity of spirit. This new dramatised reading brings the colour and vivacity of the story to the intimate fireside setting of a great Irish country house. Three narrators will take you on Scrooge’s wonderful journey to redemption, accompanied by Victorian songs and carols and a rich musical score.
