The Templemore Arms on Saturday, March 1 is the p lace to be as Rathdowney/Errill GAA Club and St. Brigid’s Camogie Club host Strictly Come Dancing.
With 13 couples taking to the stage for the very first time at 8pm sharp, this promises to be an enjoyable night for all.
The dancers hail from all areas such as Rathdowney, Errill, Borris-in-Ossory, Kilcotton and even as far as Castletown.
Dance instructors Michelle Wise and James O’Dwyer have come from Dancewise Studios in Kilkenny.
Meanwhile, the dancers have been training very hard, up to three to four times a week in Ray’s bar, Errill.
On the night there will be a raffle, tickets are €5 each which will include a programme.
First prize is a 35 inch TV, sponsored by Telfords Portlaoise; 2nd prize is an all season hurling ticket, sponsored by Laois County Board; 3rd prize is a meal voucher to the value of €150 sponsored by Dan Ward of the Templemore Arms.
Tickets are still on sale and will be on sale on the night at €20. So come along and suee your favourite couple dance.
Doors open at 7.30pm, with first dance at 8pm sharp.
This will be followed by DJ John Lowry.
