The Rainbow Sessions will take place in O’ Loughlins Hotel in Portlaoise on Friday May 2.
This is a fundraiser for Portlaoise Educate Together NS who recently moved into their new premises on the Portlaoise Southern Circular road.
This promises to be an unforgettable evening of music with musicians from a number of countries taking to the stage.
Among the musicians performing are Para Havatitye, Zimbabwe; Brian Farrell, Ireland; Daire Kinch, Ireland; Frank McNally, Ireland; Artur & Ella Heczko, Poland; Enda & Rowena Daly, Ireland; Vytenis, Lithuania; Freda, Jamaica; Marik, Czech Republic; Miguel, Spain; Simon Graydon, Ireland; Leo Brophy, Ireland; Dino & Son, Slovakia; John Davidson, Scotland; Paul Carton, Ireland; Áine Fingleton, Ireland; Davey Keane, Ireland; and Declan Dunne, Ireland.
The gig will be a showcase of the many talented musicians who are from Laois and who are based here. It will also be an opportunity to hear music from many different cultures.
As well as live music, there will be a world music disco taking place after the show.
