The Roscrea Musical Society is gearing up for their 72nd annual production from April 28 until May 5, when they will stage the lively and energetic show ‘All Shook Up’.
The cast is busy preparing for promises to be a most exciting show. It includes all the classic Elvis songs with the storyline loosely based around The King’s life. The society welcomes new faces to the cast, with secondary school and college students treading the boards.
Of course people can’t forget the established members, many of whom have been wonderful stalwarts over the years. The society has been involved in many other ventures over the last few years, including running a very successful pantomime ‘Sleeping Beauty’ before Christmas which received great support from the people of Roscrea and surrounds.
Society member Andrew Walsh said: “The society couldn’t survive without the fantastic support we receive year in and year out from our patrons and sponsors and this helps to counteract some of the show costs. We are greatly indebted to everyone who helps out in many ways to ensure the society stays going through thick and thin and we hope everyone will enjoy our new display in the Abbey Hall.”
People are advised to get their tickets early as booking is going well in Roscrea Credit Union with many Elvis enthusiasts eagerly awaiting to be ‘All Shook Up’.
Not to be missed.
