Mountmellick musician Seán McDonald (formerly recording as Seán Macdhomhnaill) is about to release his second album ‘Amankila’, following on from the warm reception afforded his debut album last year.

‘Amankila’ ((Indonesian for ‘peaceful place’ and also the name of Seán’s house in Derryguile, Mountmellick) will be available from all major media outlets for download including iTunes and Soundcloud. The physical copy of the album will also be available in the coming weeks.

Seán released his first album ‘Time Flies’ back in 2013, which was a solid success. It features such tracks as ‘Cathcing the Impossible’, ‘Cavan Girl’, ‘Crashing Down’, and ‘They Think I’m Alright Now (You’re Not Here). Back then Seán used the Irish spelling of his surname, but he has now reverted to McDonald for ‘Amankila’.
