Preparations are in full swing in Stradbally at the moment for the 10th Electric Picnic.

This is a significant year for the Stradbally festival, not just because of its milestone birthday, but also because of the many doubts cast over it’s continuance earlier this year. but that is a distant memory now and with some new additions to compliment what have become Picnic staples, this year is shaping up to be the best yet.

Owner of Stradbally Hall, Tom Cosby is very much looking forward to the weekend’s festivities.

“We are absolutley delighted that is sold out, it is great to have good support for the festival. We knew heading into the weekend that it was towards selling out but it was still a great surprise”.

He said that preparations are well underway in Stradbally. “Everything is going very smoothly and the ground is the driest its been in years so it is looking fantastic out there. The weather forecast is good for the weekend, not perfect, but good”.

Tom said that throughout the Picnic’s ten years, there have been many highlights, in fact too many to mention. “It is impossible to single out any one highlight from over the years, the nature of this festival is that there are many eclectic acts. This year I am looking forward to all the Main Stage acts”. EP runs from this Friday to Sunday.
