The Halloween Howls Comedy Festival returns to Portlaoise this October Bank Holiday Weekend, with a host of Ireland’s top comedians set to perform at various venues.

The Halloween Howls Comedy Festival returns to Portlaoise this October Bank Holiday Weekend, with a host of Ireland’s top comedians set to perform at various venues.

On Thursday October 23, Des Bishop will be ‘Coming Home’, with support from Aidan Bishop, at the Portlaoise Heritage Hotel, at 8.30pm.

On Friday, October 24, Kevin Gildea, with support by Chris Kent and MC Neil Delamere, will take to the stage at Kavanagh’s Comedy Club, at 9.30pm.

On Saturday, October 25, there is a comedy workshop in Portlaoise Library at 4.20pm with Fred Cooke. That night, Ardal O’Hanlon, with support by Marcus O’Laoire, will perform at the Dunamaise Arts Centre, at 8pm. Also on Saturday, Bernard O’Shea, with support Fred Cooke and MC Mark Doheny, will play Kavanagh’s at 9.30pm. This show is sold out.

On Sunday, October 26, Dave McSavage, with support by John Lynn, will play Kavanagh’s at 7.30pm, while PJ Gallagher, with support by John Colleary, will take to the stage at 10pm. The 10pm show is sold out.

Finally, on Monday, October 27, ‘Banana Kingdom’ from Andrew Maxwell, will be staged in Kavanagh’s at 9pm.
