Crettyard folk singer in the Dunamaise

The Dunamaise Theatre is plays host to some home grown folk talent this weekend when Crettyard native Ambrose Dunne performs a live show.

with over twenty years experience in the music business the Laois singer has performed alongside well known artists such as Seán Keane, Linda Martin and many more. He specialising in American, English and Irish folk music.

Singing songs from great writers like Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Eric Bogle, Ralph MacTell, Ewan McCaul and the great Irish writers including Christy Moore, Jimmy McCarthy, Mick Hanley. Music runs in in his family.

His many inspirations came from his parents, who both had a passionate interest in music.

After attending many shows in the Dunamaise Theatre it has been Ambrose’s ambition to perform at this venue. He will be accompanied by two musicians on the night.

The concert takes place on Saturday, June 23 in the Dunamise Theatre.
