LIFE:Map - A Collaboration will be exhibited at Electric Picnic this weekend. It is an interactive installation featuring original poetry by Portlaoise’s David Delaney which is brought to life in a series of ‘rooms’ each of which depicts a particular stage of an individual’s life.

Poetry can be found on soles of shoes, written inside drawers and on rocking chairs etc. The centrepiece of the exhibit is a bed, the duvet on which is made entirely from paper and thread - individual poems sewn together by Jayne Louise Kelly

David Delaney is the poetic mind with pen, crayon pencil or chalk in his hand and Jayne Louise Kelly is the artist creating art work drawing with thread stitching, graphite, wax, glue, bleach and her favourite, cooking oil. It is a beautiful collaboration awaiting people to visit it. Life:Map will be in Mindfields and is an installation that will live when people come to view it. The installation has already enjoyed great success when it was exhibited at The:Space exhibition area in Portlaoise Shopping Centre.
