In his eagerly awaited new show, the star of RTE’s The 2nd Republic, BBC’s The Blame Game and Fighting Talk, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Channel 4’s Stand Up for the Week, Neil, comes to the realisation that he has now lived in Dublin as long as he has lived in his family home in Offaly. But what exactly has Neil learned in the 16 years since he left home? People can find out for themselves when Neil dabbles in a little witty self-reflection and good spirited fun with a trip down memory lane aided by original footage from 90’s quiz show, Blackboard Jungle, when he captained his school team to victory.

With several platinum selling DVDs under his belt instead, Neil Delamere’s profile has risen considerably over recent years, making him one of the best loved and recognised comedians across Irish television and airwaves. 2012 was a very busy year for Neil with a sell-out tour, receiving an IFTA award for his documentary The Only Viking in the Village, the first instalment of Neil’s new satirical comedy series The 2nd Republic on RTE Radio One and performances at both the prestigious Cat Laughs Comedy Festival and The Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Local lads Transmitter are returing to Portlaoise after an extremely busy few months performing around the country. Their regular gigs include Copperface Jacks Nightclub in Dublin, the PPI National Radio Awards, Croke Park Stadium’s Christmas Parties, weddings in venues such as Slane Castle, Adare Manor, Druids Glen, Clontarf Castle and Castle Leslie, the GAA/GPA Allstar Awards, The O2 In The Park festival, Macra Na Feirme’s annual rally as well as a host of festivals, charity events and a number of society and graduation balls.
