One man and his Beowulf show

A father’s final chance to connect with his son. A boy with a film-soaked imagination. A cinematic journey through an ancient tale, brought to life in this one-man stage phenomenon.

A father’s final chance to connect with his son. A boy with a film-soaked imagination. A cinematic journey through an ancient tale, brought to life in this one-man stage phenomenon.

Featuring Spielbergian monsters, John Williams theme tunes and the original superhero, ‘Beowulf: The Blockbuster’ is physical, comic and vibrant theatre from one of Ireland’s most skilled performers, Irish Times award winning actor, Bryan Burroughs.

A layered piece of theatrical storytelling that slyly makes the case for art as consolation in the face of great tragedy, Beowulf is the story that is told when the unimaginable conversation has to be had – explaining death to your nine-year-old child.

It will be staged at the Dunamaise Arts Centre on October 7.
